How to Send Activity Notifications

You can now send notifications for activities to your BrandChamps. We created this feature to streamline the process of alerting BrandChamps about new activities or re-engaging them to participate in old activities. 

There are a few ways you can send activity notifications in BrandChamp: 

  • Send a notification when you create an activity type
  • Send a notification about an existing activity type
  • Send a bulk notification about one or more types from the Activity Types table

Sending your first activity notification is a breeze! Here’s how you can send your first activity notification. 

How to Send a Notification for New or Existing Activity  

You can send activity notifications for either a new or an existing activity. Once you have created your activity or selected your existing activity, navigate to the Availability tab, and at the bottom, you will see a new Notification field.

Click the Send Notification button to send your first activity notification. 

Edit the Notification and Send

After clicking the Send Notification button, you will be prompted with a preview of the email.  

Here, you can preview the email you will send to your BrandChamps. We have created a simple template that you can see in the preview tab. 

If you like the template, you can hit Send Notification, we will email your BrandChamps about the activity. 

If you would like to change the copy, navigate to the Editor tab, and you can edit the content of the email. 


Once you’re happy with the edits, you can hit the Send Notification button to email your ambassadors. 

How to Send Activity Notifications from the Activity Types Table

You can send notifications for activities from the Activity Types table by selecting one or multiple activities and then hitting the Send Notification button.

We will prompt you with the same email preview, where you can edit the email and send it to your BrandChamps.

When you select multiple activities to notify your ambassadors about, we will create an email that includes a link to all of the selected activities.  

Below is a preview of what the email will look like when you send activity notifications in bulk. 

With this option, you can create a few new activities in one day and send one notification to your ambassadors, alerting them of all the new activities. 

Notification Targeting

No matter how many activities you choose to notify about, each BrandChamp receives an individual notification email with only the activity types that are targeted to them.

Here’s what that will look like: 

  1. If you send a notification for an activity type targeted to all BrandChamps, we will notify all BrandChamps.
  2. If you send a notification for an activity type targeted to a particular tag, we will only notify BrandChamps with that tag.
  3. If you send a notification for multiple activity types, where there is a mix of targeting, we will send the notification to the broadest possible group, but each BrandChamp will only see the activity types that are targeted to them.

For example, suppose you have Activity A, which is targeted to all BrandChamps, and Activity B, which is targeted to the "Gold" tag. You'd like to bulk notify BrandChamps about both activities. 

In that case, we will email all BrandChamps, but only BrandChamps with the "Gold" tag will see both activities in their notification email. All other BrandChamps will only see Activity A.

Notifications are only sent to registered BrandChamps.

Where to View Previous Activity Notifications 

If you want to see if you have already notified your BrandChamps about an activity, you can look at the Activity Types table and see when the notification was sent. A more detailed view is also available in the Availability tab of each individual activity type.
