Updating the BrandChamp WooCommerce plugin

To update the BrandChamp WooCommerce plugin, you will need to download the latest plugin from your BrandChamp admin portal and then upload it to your WooCommerce admin panel.

Download latest plugin

Go to the Integrations -> WooCommerce area in your BrandChamp admin portal and click the "Install Plugin" button:

Then click the "Download" button in the popup that opens:

Save that zip file and note the version number at the end. For example, the file "brandchamp-referrals-1.2.0.zip" contains version 1.2.0.

Check the currently installed version

Log into your WooCommerce admin panel and go to the Plugins area. Look for the "BrandChamp Referrals" plugin and note the version number.

If you already have an installed version that is greater than or equal to the current version downloaded from the BrandChamp portal, then you do not need to update anything.

If the version downloaded from the BrandChamp portal is greater than what you have installed - for example version 1.3.0 is greater than 1.2.0 - than you should always install the latest version to ensure you have the latest bug fixes and performance improvements.

Update the installed version

If you need to update, you will first need to remove the old version. Then you can install the new one.

Remove Old Version

Click "deactivate" on the existing "BrandChamp Referrals" plugin:

Then click delete:

Install New Version

You can then follow the "Installing the BrandChamp WooCommerce Plugin" section in our WooCommerce Integration guide to install the latest version you just downloaded.

After installing, click the "Test Integration" button at the top of the WooCommerce integration page in BrandChamp to ensure everything is working ok.
