Social Metrics Reporting

Overview

The Social Metrics Report helps you understand how BrandChamp-generated content performs on social platforms, based on data captured when BrandChamps submit social activities and connect their accounts.

It gives you visibility into:

  • How much social content your BrandChamps are producing
  • Engagement across Instagram and TikTok
  • Top-performing creators, posts, and activity types

This report relies on data pulled directly from connected Instagram and TikTok accounts, so coverage depends on how many BrandChamps have linked their social profiles.


Where to Find It

Go to Reports -> Social in your BrandChamp dashboard.

Note: Social Reporting is currently in Beta. Metrics and coverage will improve as we expand integrations and data access


How Social Reporting Works

  1. BrandChamps submit Instagram or TikTok posts as part of activities.
  2. If a BrandChamp has connected their social account, we attempt to fetch engagement data for those posts.
  3. Only posts with accessible engagement data are marked as Analyzed.
  4. All engagement metrics are calculated only from analyzed posts.

If a BrandChamp has not connected their account, their post will still count as submitted, but engagement data will be missing.


Content Metrics (Top Summary)

These metrics give you a high-level snapshot of social activity and engagement across your program.

Connected Accounts

What it means

The number of BrandChamps who have connected their Instagram and/or TikTok accounts.

Why it matters

Only connected accounts can provide engagement data. A low number here means lower social insights.

Total Posts Submitted

These are the  total number of Instagram and TikTok posts submitted by BrandChamps during the selected date range. It Includes: 

  • All submitted posts
  • Includes posts with and without engagement data

Posts Analyzed

These are the number of submitted posts for which BrandChamp successfully fetched engagement data.

  • It requires a connected social account
  • And the percentage shows how many submitted posts were eligible for analysis

Total Likes

This is the combined total number of likes across all analyzed Instagram and TikTok posts.

  • It only includes analyzed posts
  • And likes from unconnected accounts are not counted

Total Comments

The combined total number of comments across all analyzed Instagram and TikTok posts.


Platform-Specific Metrics

Because Instagram and TikTok expose different data, some metrics are platform-specific.

Instagram Metrics

Instagram Posts - Total number of Instagram posts submitted during the selected period.

Instagram Posts Analyzed - Number of Instagram posts for which engagement data was successfully fetched.

  • Requires the BrandChamp to connect their Instagram account
  • Percentage reflects analyzed posts out of all Instagram posts

Instagram Likes - Total likes across analyzed Instagram posts.

Instagram Comments - Total comments across analyzed Instagram posts.

Note: Instagram does not currently provide: Reach, Views or Shares

TikTok Metrics

TikTok Posts - Total number of TikTok posts submitted during the selected period.

TikTok Posts Analyzed - Number of TikTok posts for which engagement data was successfully fetched.

TikTok Likes - Total likes across analyzed TikTok posts.

TikTok Comments - Total comments across analyzed TikTok posts.

TikTok Views - Total number of views across all analyzed TikTok posts.

TikTok Reach - Total unique viewers reached by analyzed TikTok posts.

TikTok Shares - Total number of times analyzed TikTok posts were shared.

Shows how many BrandChamps have connected Instagram vs TikTok.

Use this to

  • Decide where to nudge BrandChamps to connect accounts

Posts by Platform

Breakdown of submitted posts by Instagram vs TikTok.

Use this to

  • Understand which platform BrandChamps prefer
  • Balance future activity design

TikTok Audience Countries

Geographic distribution of viewers for analyzed TikTok posts.

  • Based on TikTok audience insights

These tables help you drill deeper into performance.

Includes

  • Number of Instagram and TikTok posts
  • Engagement metrics

  • Optimize future activity formats and rewards

Important Notes & Limitations

  • Social metrics are only available for analyzed posts
  • Engagement data depends on BrandChamps connecting their accounts
  • Instagram reach, views, and shares are not available
  • Metrics may appear incomplete if social accounts are not connected
  • Social Reporting is in Beta and will continue to evolve

Best Practices

  • Encourage BrandChamps to connect their Instagram and TikTok accounts
  • Use Posts Analyzed % to judge data coverage, not just engagement totals
  • Compare activity types, not just individual posts, to guide program design
