Referral Order Not Showing in BrandChamp

Important: Only orders that are not cancelled and have not been refunded are eligible for referrals.

First, check the following in your Shopify / WooCommerce admin site:

  • What the order status is (see below for instructions specific to each e-commerce site)
  • If a referral discount code was used, that should show on the order in the e-commerce admin site
  • If a referral discount code was used, that discount code should have been added in BrandChamp also, and should have been added before the order was made

How to check order status:

Shopify

  • Order should not be cancelled or fully refunded.
  • Note: If an order came in via a "Referral link", it will show a “brandchamp_ref” field with the referral code for the BrandChamp

WooCommerce

  • Order status should be “completed”

Note: If an order came in via a referral link, it will show a “brandchamp_ref” field in the Custom Fields area with the referral code for the BrandChamp:

Referrals Not Working

Check:

  • The original Referral Link Template or Discount Code Set is still available
  • Ensure order state is correct as described above
  • It can take up to 30 minutes to fetch a new order and calculate any referral
